THE MEDICAL BENEFITS OF BOTOX 

  • Migraines

    For Chronic Migraine patients, the FDA has approved a specific dose and injection pattern for BOTOX treatment. Chronic migraines are defined as headaches on more than 15 days per month and at least 4 hours a day for greater than 3 months in duration.  Estimates suggest that 2% of the population suffer from chronic migraines which can be a substantial cause of disability.

  • Excessive Sweating/Hyperhidrosis

    Excessive sweating is also called hyperhidrosis. Many people suffer from Hyperhidrosis. If left untreated, it can be embarrassing—socially, functionally, and emotionally. Botulinum toxin is injected into the skin to treat the symptoms of severe underarm sweating (severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis) when medicines used on the skin do not work well enough in people 18 years and older.

  • Hemifacial Spasms

    Hemifacial spasms are involuntary facial contractions or twitches occur on one side of the face. Although hemifacial spasms are not painful, they can be embarrassing, interfere with social interaction, and affect a person’s eyesight.  Relief from Hemifacial Spasm symptoms will last for approximately 3 to 6 months. Patients will need to return for treatment after this allotted time to maintain their results.

  • Cervical Dystonia

    Cervical dystonia is a condition that causes the muscles in your neck to tighten or spasm without your control. With cervical dystonia, your head may turn in an unusual way, or it may be forced into an abnormal, uncomfortable position. This condition can be painful and challenging. It is unknown what exactly causes the muscle contractions associated with cervical dystonia. Botulinum toxin is injected into muscles and used to treat the abnormal head position and neck pain that happens with cervical dystonia.

  • Spasticity & Contractures

    Spasticity is a movement disorder that can occur in conditions which affect the brain or the spinal cord, such as multiple sclerosis, stroke, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, or brain injury. Spasticity is caused by an imbalance between signals that inhibit or stimulate the spinal cord. This results in hyperexcitable stretch reflexes, increased muscle tone, and involuntary movements.  Botulinum toxin injection can relax muscles and improve involuntary movement.

Mesotherapy

Thread Lifts

The thread lift procedure has rapidly become one of the most sought after procedures by patients and, is the third most popular aesthetic procedure after Botox/Fillers, and PRP. Using threads as an alternative to a facelift has become one of THE most common aesthetic procedures.

What Are Pdo Threads?

PDO stands for polydioxanone which is a suture similar to surgical stitches. These threads, when placed beneath the skin will stimulate collagen synthesis which will plump the skin like a dermal filler. In some ways, PDO threads are similar to certain dermal fillers in their desired effect. In addition, threads work by “grabbing” on to, and attaching to the skin, lifting loose skin in the direction the doctor has precisely inserted the thread. The “mesh” of threads shapes the face by lifting and supporting sagging structures. These threads are absorbable in 4-6 months but will hold for an additional 8-16 months. There are many different kinds of threads with different shapes, some with barbs, twists, some that are smooth, and others that are meshed.


Thread lifting has two main functions:

Thread Lift How It Works

A PDO thread lift procedure can help lift the sagging parts of the face to create a more youthful look in your patients.


PDO (polydioxanone) is the material used in surgical stitches. It stimulate collagen synthesis. When PDO threads are introduced into the skin, the thread acts as a "scaffold" which helps to "hold" the skin against the effects of gravity. The threads can also shape the face by lifting and support sagging structures, providing the "mesh". PDO threads are absorbable over a 4-6 month period but the beneficial effects continue beyond 1 year. 


The procedure itself is a nonsurgical technique because there is no incision or traditional cutting of the skin. Tiny entry holes are made into the areas where the invisible threads are inserted. The procedure takes approx. 10-20 minutes depending on how many areas of the face will be treated.

Brow Lifts

The structures of bone, fat pads, and volume below and above the eyebrow heavily impact our eyebrow appearance. We may look tired, due to upper eyelids appearing heavy and sagging downward. For some, this appearance can be hereditary. For most, however, it is likely due to the aging process. Previously, the only option to treat these conditions was surgery, but now thanks to advances in technology, we can treat it with a variety of non-surgical ways including Botox (Xeomin), Dermal Fillers, Ultherapy and Pelleve.

BOTOX/XEOMIN INJECTION

Botox or Xeomin injections can reduce and prevent wrinkles by decreasing muscle contraction in order to relax the facial muscles. We can use the same feature to relax muscles above or below the eyebrow to change the position, and soften facial expressions, resulting in a lifted appearance.


For example, the lateral eyebrow position is balanced by the muscles above and below.
